The State of Alaska’s Digital Equity plan and comment form are linked below for public review and comment. All interested parties are invited to submit comments on the Plan using the linked comment form by December 9, 2023.

Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy has proclaimed December 4 - 10 as Computer Science Education Week.  This Executive Proclamation encourages all Alaskans to increase their awareness of the importance of computer science education. 

On June 8, 2023, the Alaska State Board of Education adopted the first Alaska Computer Science State Plan.

Each December schools around Alaska and around the world set aside time for an activity called the ‘Hour of Code‘ that helps to demystify what it means to write computer code and to show that anybody can learn the basics of computer science.
